Singapore Private Home Vacancy and Unsold Numbers (Q1 2015)
At the end of the first quarter 2015,
The vacancy rate of private homes =7.2% (22,346 vacant units);
Total supply of 68,201 uncompleted private homes, of this number, 27,061 units remained unsold.
Private Home Vacancy + unsold = 22,346 + 27,061 = 49,407 units
EC vacancy rates were up however to 15.1% (2,446 vacant units)
15,441 EC units in the pipeline.

Number of housing units expected to grow to 1.43m units by early 2018: Khaw
Singapore’s current stock of housing units stands at about 1.28 million, with 960,000 (75%) Housing and Development Board (HDB) units and 320,000 (25%) in the private sector. While a total of 200,034 units (~15%) were projected for the pipeline supply of new homes for 2014-2017, the new figure stands at 195,788, according to Mr Khaw (~50,000 per year).
